We started as Stubby’s Texas Brewing Inc.

We were initially a retail homebrew store in 2011, owned by Brenden “Stubby” Stubblefield. With a passion for the brewing industry, we gained knowledge and experience and expanded the original 3,000-square-foot homebrew store into a 32,000 square-foot facility in Dallas/Fort Worth, designed to completely service the needs of the professional brewing industry by 2017.

The Pro Brew Supply side of the business came about in 2016, when we were having a few beers and discussing the woes of our experiences with the current suppliers and the issues we had purchasing from them. We didn’t see a supply house that seemed personalized, and we didn’t see a supplier who was taking great interest in the people of the industry or how a small brewery business works.

It was at that moment that we knew there was room to grow into a supplier who would take great care of breweries by treating our clients just like we did at our homebrew store. In other words, through conversation, collaboration and sharing knowledge about what works in the brewhouse, in addition to offering the best quality products we can source from across the globe.

Our unrivaled range of high-quality products

We stock the highest-quality malt and grain from the brands that we believe have a true impact on making great beer. We understand a quality beer is the result of a carefully crafted and calibrated process. Because of this, we have selected yeast suppliers who know experience, knowledge and creativity are key to the perfect beer. And we go to great lengths to ensure our clients receive the highest-quality hops available.

Additionally, we carry a large selection of tri clamps, valves, brewing parts, hoses, cleaning chemicals, safety equipment and one-way kegs, as well as a fantastic assortment of fine stainless-steel fittings.

We have everything you need for your brewhouse to run smoothly. Our wide array of ingredients and equipment makes our orders comprehensive and flexible, right to your doorstep.

Our wide array of ingredients and equipment makes our orders comprehensive and flexible, right to your doorstep.

We are experienced consultants, too

We are here to help you make the best of your business, so we consider ourselves brewery consultants with a focus on the growth and development of smaller breweries and brew pubs. Several of our staff members have extensive commercial brewing experience, and they are here to focus on our customers. From sanitation and cleaning to recipe development, we have the experience and answers from working with hundreds of breweries across the country.

Recent Chicagoland/Midwest expansion

This an exciting development that we keep enhancing. Getting a large, temperature-controlled warehouse and focusing on getting to know our Chicagoland clients and what their daily and special needs are was first on the list.

We are excited about the process of specializing the collection of products in the Midwest warehouse to exactly what we’ve learned about the needs of the Midwest brewer. … We are looking forward to having our team in the area understand, mingle and deliver quality products to your brew house.

The folks at Pro Brew Supply are especially responsive, and will bend over backwards to make sure I get the ingredients or parts that I need in a timely manner.”  — Travis Kocurek, Houndsong Brewing Co.

Testimonial

“The folks at Pro Brew Supply are especially responsive, and will bend over backwards to make sure I get the ingredients or parts that I need in a timely manner. … All of the raw materials, parts/fittings, and cleaning chemicals are extremely high quality and everything is available for a single-pallet rate. So rather than shopping around among five different suppliers to procure grain, chemicals, hops, yeast and parts & fittings, you can literally get everything at once while paying only once for freight. This alone is an enormous reason to do business with Pro Brew Supply … as if the quality and excellent service aren’t enough!

… Aside from the excellent service, the products are world class, and are extremely competitively priced. They always exceed my expectations because they are always willing to “make it right.”

— Travis Kocurek, founder and brewer at Houndsong Brewing Co.

From our Brewer’s Choice section in new summer i From our Brewer’s Choice section in new summer issue:

Q: What do you have coming up that people should know about?

@burningbushbrewery head brewer Scott McElhenie: We recently brewed Da Pope, an American mild ale, in honor of the new pope, Pope Leo XIV, who is a Chicago native. People immediately loved the name, but were surprised to realize how much they also enjoyed the beer. We workshopped Da Pope as a lighter-bodied option that still offers notes more commonly found in darker styles to give some variety over the summer. It makes me laugh a little every time somebody says, “It’s actually good!” as if we would make a beer that didn’t taste good just for a cheesy name.

Brewer’s Choice: @burningbushbrewery head brewer Scott McElhenie on @russianriverbrewingofficial living up to the hype, the @sturdyshelterbrewing sensational Paddlewheel porter, and naming a popular new beer after the Pope Leo XIV

“I just had a couple beers from Sturdy Shelter Brewing that really impressed me. … I have had a few porters in my life, but the Paddlewheel Porter was extraordinarily well crafted. The vanilla is well balanced with the darker malts so that you aren’t left with an overwhelming sweetness in the beer.”
